MacBook battery,
holding charge again.

When a MacBook that used to last all day starts hunting for a power point by lunch, the battery is usually telling you something. We'll listen properly.

MacBook batteries age quietly. First the runtime shortens, then macOS starts showing "Service Recommended" under the battery menu, and eventually the machine only feels safe within arm's reach of its charger. None of that means the laptop is done — a MacBook with a fresh battery genuinely feels like a different computer, and it's one of the most satisfying repairs we do.

Signs your MacBook battery is due

  • "Service Recommended" or "Replace Soon" in the battery menu
  • Runtime measured in a couple of hours instead of a full day
  • The machine shutting down abruptly with charge still showing
  • A trackpad that's stiff to click, or a lid or case that's begun to bulge — that's a swollen battery, and it's worth acting on promptly

How we put it right

We start with a free diagnosis that looks past the obvious: cycle count and battery health first, but also the charging circuit and charger itself, because sometimes a "dying battery" turns out to be a charging fault that a new battery wouldn't fix. You'll get a straight answer about which it is before anything is opened.

Modern MacBook Air and Pro batteries are glued into the chassis rather than screwed in, so the old cells come out slowly and carefully — no prying shortcuts near the trackpad cable. Once the new battery is in, we verify it calibrates properly, check the trackpad click feels right, and run the machine on battery before handing it back.

Air, Pro, Intel or Apple silicon

We handle the full range — Retina and Apple silicon MacBook Air, 13" and 16" MacBook Pro, and the older Intel generations too. Tell us your model (or read us the number on the underside, starting with "A") and we'll give you a clear quote and timeframe before you commit to anything.

Bring it in — we'll take a look.

No charge for the diagnosis, no pressure either way. Call, email, or simply drop by the bench.
